Natalie Sparkes - President

Natalie Sparkes is employed to the West Indies Alumina Company as Manager, Budget & Cost Control. She holds an MBA from the Manchester Business School, she is also a certified Project Management Professional and a licensed Professional Engineer.
 
Ms. Sparkes has been associated with the Credit Union movement for over 16 years and currently assumes the position of President of the Board of Directors.
 
Outside of the Credit Union movement Ms. Sparkes is also Deputy Chair – Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA), Chair of the Procurement and Goods and Services Committees – SRHA, and Board Member – Mount St. Joseph Catholic High School.
 
In her own words Ms. Sparkes had this to say of the Credit Union movement: “It has allowed me to appreciate the differences in people and given me the opportunity to serve and contribute to building Jamaica. It has assisted in sharpening my critical thinking, develop my patience (still working on this) and given me lifelong friends.”
 
Her philosophy on life is “Road Block? - No! - You either go around it, over or through it while being fair, and respectful to everyone you meet.”

Albert Dawkins J.P. - Vice President

Mr. Albert Dawkins is currently a Business Consultant, prior to this he was employed to the Jamaica Public Service Company Limited as General Manager for the Hunts Bay and Rockfort Power Plant in Kingston.
 
His qualifications includes Masters of Business Administrations (MBA), BSc. in Management Studies and Diploma-Electrical Engineering.
 
Mr. Dawkins has been associated with the Credit Union movement for over 40 years and currently serves as Vice President on the Board. He also serves on the Member Relation and Education committee. He is a Justice of the Peace for the parish of Kingston and St. Andrew; Supreme Court Mediator, a member of St. Mary’s The Virgin Church, a Director on the Board of St. Mary’s The Virgin Basic School.
 
In his own words Mr. Dawkins indicated the Credit Union movement has made him “A permanent volunteer!”
 
His philosophy on life is to serve the less fortunate.

Delroy Redway – Treasurer

Mr. Redway functions as the Assistant Secretary of the Board of the Credit Union and Alternate League Delegate to the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League.
 
He noted that the Credit Union strengthened his spirit of volunteerism, moulded him into an effective administrator and entrepreneur through training offered by the Credit Union movement in financial management and other disciplines. He remains committed to the motto “People helping people”.
 
Mr. Redway’s volunteer work extends to serving as a Lay Magistrate holding the title of Justice of The Peace, conflict resolution adviser and performing other civic duties. He currently serves as Vice-Chairman on the Board of Management of Browns Town Community College.
 
Qualifications/Experience:
 
Mr. Redway is the Managing Director of Redway’s Hardware & Supplies Limited. His educational qualifications include a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (UTech) and a Diploma in Human Resource Management (IMP).
 
Mr. Redway’s philosophy to life is to “Be positive in your thoughts and action; extend helping hands”.

Fiona Johnson - Assistant Treasurer

Fiona Elizabeth Ann Johnson is employed to Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPSCo.) as Manager of Support Services. She holds a Masters in Business Administration, and has two children.
 
She is a member of the Board of Directors where she holds the position of Assistant Treasurer. Other position held within the Credit Union is that of Chair - Delinquency Committee, which she has held for more than a year.
 
Ms. Johnson noted that the Credit Union movement has allowed her to accomplish the basic things in life, such as owning a home and also giving her the opportunity to save.
 
“Live life to its fullest” is the philosophy that characterizes Ms. Johnson.

Vaughn P. McDonald – Secretary

Mr. McDonald functions as Secretary of the Board of the Credit Union and Chairman of the Quality Assurance & Risk Management Committee since April 2006.
 
He notes that the Credit Union has become a breeding ground for development and grounded appreciation for what happens in the Credit Union movement and the financial sector on a whole. Coupled with that, it encapsulates management development, business processes, policy development, project management, internal audit and delivery of excellent customer service.
 
Mr. McDonald’s volunteer work extends to other organizations, such as the Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ) and Kingston College Old Boys Association (KCOBA).
 
Qualifications/Experience:
 
Mr. McDonald holds the position of Human Resource Officer – Industrial Relations at Jamaica Public Service Company Limited.
 
His educational qualifications include a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leicester (London, England).
 
Mr. McDonald’s philosophy to life is “Do right, because it is the right thing to do”.

 

Earl Munroe - Assistant Secretary

Mr. Earl Munroe was employed to the Jamaica Public Service Company Limited as an engineer in excess of thirty four (34) years. From 2000 – 2010 he worked as a business Consultant and a Director of GENCO Holding Company Ltd.
 
Mr. Munroe is no stranger to volunteering as since 2003 he has being serving as a member of the Finance and Planning Committee.
 
Mr. Munroe holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the West Indies. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and also the Jamaica Welding Institute.

Joydene Jarrett - General Manager

Miss Jarrett functions as the General Manager of the organization and is a former banker.   She joined the credit union in January 2004 as the Member Services Manager. She was appointed to the position of General Manager in October 2005.
 
Over the years, she has combined her love for people, education and finance into an outstanding career that started in teaching, evolved into banking and spans more than two decades.  
 
Qualification/Experience:
 
Her educational qualifications include a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the University of Technology, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Nova Southeastern University.
 
Ms. Jarrett’s philosophy to life is "Disappointment in oneself only stems from the knowledge that we can do better".
 
Ms Jarrett is a member of the Kiwanis club of May Pen. 

Camiel Franklyn - Treasury & Marketing Manager

Camiel Franklyn is employed to the JPS & Partners Credit Union where she assumes the responsibility of Manager of the Treasury & Marketing Department. She holds an EMBA in General Management and a BSC in Business and Professional Management.
 
Ms. Franklyn has been employed to the Credit Union since 1997 and participates as a member on the Finance Committee and also the Member Relation and Education Committee.
 
She believes the Credit Union has contributed positively to her personal growth and development and her outlook on life is that perseverance is the key to success.
